About Fernando

Fernando Hettiyadura is a pioneer in the fields of professional coaching, psychotherapeutic, and spiritual practices. He is an Integrative Psychotherapist in supervision and a Master Certified Coach (MCC) designated by the International Coaching Federation (ICF). As the founder of Ignite Global, Evolving Temple, and Awaken Mind Guide, Fernando has created a dynamic ecosystem of organizations committed to elevating human potential through the expansion of consciousness.

Fernando’s academic background comprises an MSc in Counseling Psychology from Girne American University, further enriched by medical psychiatry coursework (2024) from Harvard University, a postgraduate certification in Ayurveda Psychology, and certification in Clinical Regression, encompassing Clinical Hypnotherapy, Past Life Regression, and Transpersonal Therapy. At present, Fernando is a PhD candidate in Psychology; his research focuses on the integration of Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy in treating childhood trauma. He also pursues an Executive Diploma in Clinical Psychology, underscoring his dedication to professional advancement.

Fernando’s expertise as a transformational practitioner merges Eastern and Western modalities, seamlessly blending clinical and metaphysical aspects. As an empathetic catalyst for growth, Fernando believes that everyone possesses infinite innate wisdom capable of fostering a fulfilling personal and professional life. With 18 years of experience and over 4,000 hours of documented coaching and therapy, he serves a diverse global clientele, including students, professionals, leaders, and organizations driven by transformation.

In his role as the ICF Program Director at Ignite Global 360, Fernando leads comprehensive ICF-Accredited Specialized Professional Development Programs, guiding coaches and clinicians from foundational skills to advanced mastery. Fernando created world’s pioneering Trauma-Informed Psychedelic Integration Advanced Practitioner Qualification with the prestigious accreditation by the ICF, adding a unique dimension to the spectrum of professional coaching.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Fernando finds joy in salsa dancing, solace in nature, and profound peace in Vipassana meditation.

His role as a healing practitioner further extends as an educator, mentor, and supervisor for advanced professionals in reflective practices, encompassed by his unique experiences, deep empathy, and nurturing professional insight. Fernando’s work in this field is aimed at gently yet comprehensively guiding individuals and professionals toward greater personal, professional, and spiritual evolution making a positive impact at the global scale, co-creating world peace as a ripple effect.

His pioneering work includes the introduction of the world’s first Trauma-informed Psychedelic Integration Professional Coaching Qualification accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF) for Advanced Psychedelic Practitioners. This program blends coaching science and psychology with psychedelic integration as a unique methodology.

As an unusually curious child, from a young age, he embarked on a journey of self-discovery and healing, driven by his personal experiences with childhood trauma. His path, marked by a commitment to reflective practices and self-exploration, led him to the powerful realm of plant-based psychedelic medicine. This pivotal encounter unveiled the transformative potential of psychedelic integration, reshaping his understanding of the healing potential and evolutionary capacity of the human mind.

Driven by deep passion, he devoted his life to sharing this journey with other seekers. He founded Evolving Temple, Ignite Global, Awaken Mind Guide, and the Global Center for Reflective Practices and Consciousness, organizations dedicated to exploring the depths of the human mind and its potential.

Building on his expertise, Fernando has completed Medical Psychiatric Coursework with Harvard University. In addition to his academic pursuits, he is currently pursuing a postgraduate degree in Counseling Psychology, Executive Diploma in Clinical Psychology, Certificate in Ayurveda Psychology, and conducts research, focusing on “Psilocybin-Assisted Therapy Integrated Coaching in Treating Childhood Trauma”.

Outside of his professional life, Fernando enjoys the quietude of meditation and the joy of salsa dancing, activities that reflect the embodiment of balance between mind and body.
